Selena
She is a performer, designer and a music pioneer. Her dual role as the Mexican American performer was traditional and contemporary. She brought Tejano to the mainstream through her ingenuity. Her name was rising whose untimely passing splintered it. As is the norm for a gifted, charming young performer dies too soon, many mourned the potential she was yet to reach. In order to prevent her successes from going unnoticed many of her fans in the last few times have been motivated to do even more. Selena is the Tejano singer who tragically shot to death during a shooting incident, has sparked the Latino response that could be likened to the reaction to the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon's death. Selena was a wildly loved singer by Latinos throughout North America. But her music was a hit with both the young as well as the elderly. Selena may have been hailed by some as an Latina Madonna, but she's still a fantastic role model. Selena's values of family life offstage as well as her involvement in AIDS awareness campaigns make her a good example.
